Writer's picture: Year 3 TeamYear 3 Team

Road Safety Day was observed on 5th October. This day is celebrated to spread awareness about the importance of Road Safety Rules for the safety of people moving on roads. During Road Safety Day, thousands of organizations, schools and communities take part, with road safety demonstrations, and more. Each year the event has a theme. Our event started with Parental Engagement Session from Ms. Cynthia Samiano, mother of Gab from 3D who focused upon the rules of Road Safety. Students also took an oath to be safe on the roads by following traffic rules. Students also presented a skit byrepresenting their understanding of Road Safety Rules. The information shared made the event a success.

Year 3I also celebrated Road Safety Day on 12th October 2022 in the FS area. The assembly was a great platform for students to reflect and present their views on the importance of road safety. Children educated the audience about traffic rules and the role it plays in shaping the behavior and attitude of children by ensuring that they become responsible passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. Students described different traffic signs and they did the same with melodious songs. Mr. Naeem from STS department also spoke about the Dos and DONTs for bus users, OT walking children as well as OT car users. Through the assembly, students successfully conveyed the message ‘Safety Comes First’.
