This year’s theme “Playing with Math” for the International Day of Mathematics in 2024 was fantastic. This encouraged our students to engage with mathematics in a fun and interactive way, highlighting the playful and creative aspects of the subject. The emphasis was on the importance of playful exploration in developing mathematical thinking skills through games, puzzles and hands-on activities. Students got an opportunity to enhance their problem-solving abilities, spatial reasoning and logical thinking.  Children celebrated the joy, creativity and community that mathematics can inspire. Students showcased their creativity by demonstrating how mathematical principles can be applied in artistic endeavours. This event encouraged our students to think outside the box and explore the aesthetic aspects of mathematics. The highlight of the day was collage making on the famous mathematicians. They researched about the personal details and accomplishments of famous mathematician and collaborated to present their beautiful work.
